Well. I believe most of us, usually designers are wondering and also hard to decide where to go after graduate. Me as well met this kind of problem before. Not too long ago, so i still remember how hard it be. Aquarium actually represent the company which i think will directly affect the performance as well as the position in the company. The reason that i have the idea of posting this two(2) pictures is because there is/are friend(s) of mine twho actually working in a small company(small aquarium) and he/she is actually now having a one(1) step higher position than mine. Or should i saids not only one(1) step, perhaps many many steps. Ofcourse the pay is also very promising.I strongly agree that when you are in a small company, you will get all the benefits that i mentioned above. Ofcourse there are some more that i couldn't think of anymore now. Or maybe is because of his/her own ability to skip/jump so fast? I don't know. But the only thing that i'm very sure is... i'm jealous. I was in the BIG fish in small aquarium situation before, but currently and following situation is small fish in BIG aquarium.
If you still don't get it or don't understand, try to look at the two(2) drawing above and imagine. Imagine that the orange fish is you and how can you survive and grow in the situation. There are advantages and disadvantages from both situation. Think of it and let me know. ^^
Last week, our department(MM Department) was having a gotong-royong session to clean up and to "refresh" or "reload" the working environment. Hmn...i was taking care of the pantry. hehehe~... And they come out of an idea of the "Thinking Chair" which located just nearby my working place.

你的兩個魚缸除了一個四方一個圓形，體積其實看過去想差不大，你的大魚小缸和小魚大缸可以再誇張一點。。。呵呵。。
我好像也不能給甚麼意見，因為我沒在care這些東西(笑)，但一個職位的頭銜好像確實有那麼一點東西。另外，甚麼頭銜都是虛名，能力還是最重要。大小公司都有他的好處，但伯樂／際遇更重要。

i do agree about the aquarium concept..
but i rmbr sum1 once told me.
that when u start work, ofcourse we will get promoted , is just depends on WHEN.
but if you get to be promoted and your position keeps getting higher in a small period of time, then after awhile, it will stop. because maybe you've reached some point wher u cant go higher,
but if slowly, u will always have a chance to be promoted after some time. u get what i mean?
我觉的最重要是做好自己的本份。那就够了。比想太多来的好。要对自己有confidence.

one thing: when you consider yourself as a big fish in an aquarium, you will eventually think you could be the biggest and there's so much you could bully. when you are a smaller fish, you will grow to be bigger, and you will learn everything through the process and everyone knows you are growing to be big one day. then when you becomes big, you're a respectable fish.
isnt this the thing we talk about the other day???well, u can always be a big fish in a small aquarium n then move on to the next bigger aquarium,n grow that way instead of jumping to the biggest aquarium n fight to ur death with all the "middle fish" who wants to get big n get above too.
